I can't live without my handphone. Although, I don't use it much often and I can't even remember my own handphone number. That is why when someone ask for my number like my BB Squad Leader, I would just say 'I don't have a handphone' or 'I lost my handphone'.

Well, the first reason why I can't live without my handphone is that I will still have contact with my friends and relatives in Philippines.

My second reason is that I can also sms or call my girlfriend almost everyday and because of that I would forgot doing my homework. Like what had happened on that day. I sms her all day that I forgot doing my homework, then the following day my teacher wants to collect our homework and I forgot to do it. My teacher scolded me and was even punished. My girlfriend saw what had happened and she yelled at me for not doing my homework. She also said that if I continue not to do my homework, she will never answer my call or even reply to my messages anymore. From that day onwards, I always do my homework and projects because her words scared me more than an angry teacher yelling at me.

Anyways, my last reason I can't live without my handphone is that I will never lose contact with my childhood friend, Frence.

Lifetime tiger hunter snared

JAKARTA - INDONESIAN conservationists said on Friday they had caught red-handed a 92-year-old man who had admitted to killing dozens of critically endangered Sumatran tigers over a lifetime of hunting.

'We caught him on Thursday while he was sailing a traditional wooden boat in a river in Kuala Cinaku with evidence of skin, skull and 8.3kg of bones from a tiger,' Iwin Kasiwan, from the natural conservation agency in Riau province, Sumatra, told AFP.

The man, named Wiryo, told conservationists that he started hunting tigers for a living when he was 17 on Java island. He moved to Sumatra in 1960 as the population of Javan tiger decreased.

'According to him, he has killed more than 50 Sumatran tigers in Riau province alone,' Mr Kasiwan said, adding it could see the 92-year-old jailed for up to five years.

Wiryo explained that he managed to sell the tiger parts in Singapore.

There are fewer than 400 Sumatran tigers left in the wild and their increasing contact with people is a result of habitat loss due to poaching and deforestation, according to conservationists. -- AFP.


Reflection :

For me, killing dozens of endangered Sumatran tigers for a living is the most unspeakable doing of a human. I mean he can be a painter, a farmer, a driver of a delivery truck or any jobs out there. This guy is just too stupid to rely on tigers' parts for a living. He deserves to be in jail for 5 years. I hope he learns his lesson and when he is released from jail, he would find another job.

By the way, people has to stop cutting trees for the sake of the animals' population and to make it less for them to be spotted by humans so easily. I hope that the Singapore Prime Minister will use all of his power to ban selling tigers' parts.

I hope the Sumatran tigers and the Javan tigers will not extinct and will soon recover on their population. I am looking forward to any animals that will always exist in the future.

Hi! Let me introduce myself to you.My name is Timothy and I am 14 years old.I am studying in Henderson Secondary School.













When I was in Philippines,every time I went home from school I would go to the court immediately and play basketball.I even forgot doing my homework because of playing basketball.I also represent my school.We put a lot of effort to win the competition for our school and yet we always lose.Well,we really don't care whether we are going to win or lose,the most important is that we tried our very best.My team also believe about the saying: 'Nobody is going to laugh at the man's effort to win,even though he is going to lose in the end.'

When I came here in Singapore to continue my study a friend of mine suggested this game Wolf Team.He even said it is a great game and even better than Counter Strike.When I got home I quickly switch on my computer without my parents permission and download this game.I get addicted to it that I forgot to take care of my eye.This became my hobby.Then my eyesight became blur.That is why I needed spectacles to see properly.I stop playing computer games because whenever I do so I felt I'm being childish and I hate it.That is why I change my hobby and started to play outdoor games.

I am a Filipino and I am proud to say it in the whole world!

Who am I?

My name is Timothy.Playing basketball and watching movies has been my hobby.I was one of the players represented our school in a Basketball League.Well,we did not win but at least we manage to receive a trophy for being in second place.Spiderman 3 was my all time favorite movie.I was just so sad because the development for the fourth movie of the Spiderman Film Series has been cancelled and they even plan a reboot about the film with new directors and new cast.I just hope I could see my childhood superhero again in theatres.I have a sister and her name is Shannon.Playing badminton is one of her hobby.Although she is talkative and sometimes annoying she is helpful,kind and generous.One of my goals in my life is to become a student prefect or student councilor in Henderson Secondary School.I also want to be an astronomer when I grow up.My inspiration of becoming an astronaut was Neil Armstrong.He is the first person to set foot on the moon.One of the reasons I want to become an astronomer is that I want to find out whether there is life on some planets.I really can't wait to grow up,study planets and find out if there is life on other galaxies.I really want to become an astronaut.
